Kindfully – Mindfulness for Busy People

I am a qualified therapist and trainer promoting positive mental health, teaching strategies to busy people for effective rest and relaxation. I am also a Mindfulness Practitioner, trained from the texts of the Pāli Canon, the original teachings over 2500 years old.

Kindfully is a part of the Helping You Sparkle™ portfolio, a compassion-centred service in Milton Keynes helping you carve time out of your busy diary, using a tried-and-tested model called Mindfulness.  It focuses on self-care, and teaching authentic strategies which can help manage stress, reduce anxiety and improve sleep.

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is often described as ‘being in the moment’.  This is one accurate description, but it has a much wider explanation than this.  Essentially, it’s about taking care of your present moment and doing so with kindness.  You can read more here

What does ‘Compassion-Centred’ mean?

Pema Chödrön describes compassion as our relationship with pain.  If you understand your own pain and that of others (particularly emotional pain and how it affects you) you can live a healthier, happier and rewarding life through effective mental health management.  If we’re not kind to ourselves though, our physical and mental health, and our relationships with others can suffer.

Compassion-centred means turning compassion towards yourself.  We are good at showing other people we care, but not so good at being kind to ourselves.  Read more here
