I am a Mindfulness Practitioner, trained from the texts of the Pāli Canon. This means the Mindfulness based services I offer are authentic, based on the original teachings of the Buddha, and I practice what I teach.
Kindfully is a service I’ve launched in Milton Keynes helping you find time for yourself, your health and wellbeing, using a tried-and-tested technique called Mindfulness.
What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is often described as ‘being in the moment’. Although this is one accurate description, it has a much wider explanation than this. Essentially, it’s about taking care of your present moment and above all, showing yourself kindness. You can read more here…
What does ‘Compassion-Centred’ mean?
Pema Chödrön describes compassion as our relationship with pain. If you understand your own pain and that of others (particularly emotional pain and how it affects you) you can live a healthier, happier and rewarding life through effective mental health management. If we’re not kind to ourselves though, our physical and mental health, and our relationships with others can suffer.
Compassion-centred means turning compassion towards yourself. We are good at showing other people we care, but not so good at being kind to ourselves. Read more here…
